On December 23rd, Lily West awakens in, bound to a chair next to a pair of horribly decapitated corpses. Only now this general has escaped and he has a horrifying plan of his own. With his rivals far ahead of him, Jack must now get to one of the five iron mountains - two of which have never been found-and perform a mysterious feat known only as 'The Fall'.Īlthough what is this object on the moon that is connected to it?Īmid all this, Jack will discover that a new player has entered the race, a general so feared by the Four Legendary Kingdoms they had him locked away in their deepest dungeon. His beloved daughter Lily, it appeared, was slaughtered by Sphinx in a cruel ancient ritual.
As you'll see, the colors on this day were vibrant (my photos are untouched). The trail has a few steep sections, always a bit of a challenge at this elevation, but the scenery is worth every single step. The 11 mile round trip (out and back) hike to Lost Twin Lakes starts out at 9,250 feet and tops out at about 10,500 feet, making this destination the highest point we've reached in the Bighorns. Ten Sleep Canyon and Creek got its name from an old Indian encampment that was "ten sleeps" from important points such as Yellowstone and Fort Laramie.
Buffalo put us right on the edge where those two ecosystems meet.įor our last hike in the Bighorn Mountains we drove about 55 miles to the west side of the range and the Ten Sleep trailhead.
While the western half of the state is known for its mountains, the east is typified by high plains. It happens to be the least populated of all the states, leaving lots of wide open country to explore. Our month in Buffalo, WY is drawing to a close and we find ourselves thoroughly enchanted with this state.
